Retreat To Advance Into A New Decade
From my second floor bedroom, I look out at a massive 150 year-old eucalyptus tree that almost overpowers the expanse of the Pacific and the Channel Islands. Starlings, crows, doves, and woodpeckers dart among the withered arms of ancient oaks.  My window opens with a rusted hand crank and a hand-hewed teak starburst looks down from the ceiling.

13 Principles For Connecting Well With Others
In Daniel Goleman's best selling book Social Intelligence he concludes that the greatest successes in life aren't usually the most talented or brain smart – the most successful are very good at communicating and connecting with people (socially intelligent). 15 Good, Basic Habits That Will Lead To Extraordinary Things
When you hear the word "greatness," certain people probably spring to mind: Michael Jordan, Albert Einstein, Mother Teresa. Think a bit harder and you'll realize you know a few real-life "greats" as well. Perhaps your officemate is a computer whiz or a teacher at your child's school is a genius at inspiring kids. Heck, maybe you have some hidden talent, too. If only you'd been born with that elusive "greatness gene" or raised by superachieving parents or accepted to an Ivy League college, your life would be soooo much better...right?

How to Create the Life of Your Dreams
Dory was hesitant, full of doubts. A 46-year-old divorced mother of two, who spent the last 25 years working as an account technician for a major mail distribution center, she feared perhaps it was too late, she was too old, and didn’t have the energy or time to create a fulfilling life.

7 Tips for Constructing a “Wit Kit” for Life’s Unexpected Turns
The problem-free life we all seek is more than an illusion. It’s become a myth — one that too many of us have fallen victim to. Reinventing oneself time and again is a skill we all need to develop in today’s increasingly “make it up as you go along” world. A world where the best-laid plans, dreams, or jobs can evaporate in a moment. Constructing a “Wit Kit” can help people to reinvent and re-structure their lives no matter the circumstances.
