Psychology for Moms
The purpose of this information is to assist you in eliminating all poverty thoughts, all thoughts of lack and all thoughts of limitation. The most productive way to think is obviously with a prosperity consciousness.
To think prosperously requires no special education or training; in fact, you may discover that the training your subconscious mind has already received is what is holding you back. My goal is to assist you in becoming more aware of your thought processes. Are you focused on a poverty or prosperity consciousness?
Let me share with you my own personal definition of a “prosperity consciousness.” I believe that we all seek peace and freedom. Absolute financial freedom is when you never do anything that you don’t want to do for money and you never omit doing something you truly desire to do because of lack of money. In other words, money works for you and you no longer work for it. Building a prosperity consciousness is a way to insure your financial success!
In my fourteen years of involvement with the direct sales/network marketing industry I have observed that like me, the majority of people coming into our industry as marketers are, for the most part, poverty conscious. I know I was and many of my clients are as well. Let’s address why most people have a poverty consciousness and I know you will begin to understand how this mindset can and will have a major impact on your ability or inability to see results as a business builder.
Most of us go to grades one through twelve in school and proceed onto college learning all along the way to complete a resume and become a good, dependable employee. We are educated on the concept of, “a good education equates to a good job.” (This is generally where we begin to accrue personal debt through student loans, credit cards etc).
Unfortunately, we are not taught that a job will always pay you what the job is worth and will never come close to paying you what you’re worth because you, my friend are priceless! We are literally educated on the theory that trading time for dollars (job) is the only way to achieve financial and personal success. We find a huge flaw in this theory once we get into a business of our own such as network marketing/direct sales.
In this industry of “free enterprise” we have the opportunity to get paid exactly what we are worth. This concept is completely the opposite of what we have been educated on and practicing for years. Thus it is no surprise that the majority of people struggle when they initially step into the world of “entrepreneurism.” Don’t forget that our education and job experience has contributed to a substantial amount of the “struggle” we find ourselves in, however so has the fact that most of our parents and grandparents were anything but financial wizards! Granted they did the best that they knew how to do, nevertheless that doesn’t eliminate the fact that we still suffer the consequences of the “poverty consciousness” programmed into our heads. We struggle initially or at least until we begin to have the proper thought processes to live a prosperous and abundant life. The fear of lack and “struggle” mentality must be replaced with a new thought and belief system.
We all deserve to live an abundant and prosperous lifestyle. We deserve to be happy on every level, spiritual, emotional, physical etc. It took me several years of attending training seminars, reading self-improvement books and listening to motivational audiotapes before I really began to “get it!” It may take you awhile but I know you can and will “get it” too!
The key to achieving wealth is in the ability to learn how to take control of your own mind and thought processes. You must begin to re-program your mind to accept and expect prosperity. Human wealth is truly created by the human mind. It is imperative that you learn, as I did, to free yourself from the major inhibitors of your mind and to better utilize your imagination. Simply stated, you must increase the quality of your thoughts about money, increase the quality of your thoughts about yourself and the quality of your thoughts about what you do for money. If you don’t feel good about you and if you don’t feel good about money it will be a tremendous challenge to see a transformation of any kind in your financial situation and business.
