This is a really wonderful, information filled resource book for both married and single moms of all ages and backgrounds. You feel as if you are having a one on one conversation with Iris about the importance of our job as Christian wives and mothers. She is encouraging and uplifting of our position within our families. There is guidance for all areas of our lives – so our children’s lives are stable and secure and our husband knows we support him in his role as leader of the home. I like the use of scripture throughout the book to back up what is being discussed – so you can reference where the ideas are supported. This is all discussed in the first half of the book.
The second half of the book is invaluable as it shares that a mother’s estimated worth is about $508,700.00 per year and from there, moves in to how we can still be home for our children and find a meaningful career for ourselves that can be worked from our homes. The links she shares for searching and finding a legitimate opportunity that will fit your personal preferences are an incredible resource. She also guides you in avoiding the scams that are unfortunately out there as well.
The last few pages of this book offer scriptures to give you encouragement and strength. She labels them under different titles such as Godliness, Love, Sacrifice and more. In the closing pages she offers a couple prayers and thoughts that are very insightful.
I think this book is a really heartfelt project and is valuable to all mothers but is especially valuable for new wives and mothers who are looking for guidance in becoming the best Christian wife, mother and career woman that they can be with His guidance.
